Episode 35: The Wonderful Mais and Salam of Denver!

Meet Mais!  She lives in Denver now, and is one of the co-founders of Salam of Denver, which is the first established queer SWANA group in Denver.  We had a beautiful conversation with Mais.  We talked about the group, the need for queer SWANA spaces, Mais’s experiences as an immigrant (she’s from Iraq and has also lived in Syria and Kuwait), and food.  She’s so easy to talk to, and is such a wonderful human being.  We think you’ll love her episode as much as we did.

Episode 21: The gang does a podcast!

The four of us are all finally in one episode together! We thought it was about time to introduce the English side of our podcast to the Arabic side.  Kilian Colin and Ahmed are the co-hosts of the Arabic language episodes of this podcast.  So far, two Arabic episodes have been published, and we have already seen from the listeners that there is quite a need for this.  We are so grateful to have Ahmed and Kilian, and it makes the podcast feel much more complete.  In this episode, Ahmed & Kilian talk about growing up in the Middle East, about why Arabic episodes are important, and much more.
