Episode 67 in English: The Game is Rigged

It was so good talking with Neda Shaheen, who works for the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (https://www.adc.org) in Washington, DC.  We talked about the organization and the role Neda has within it.  We also talked about the asylum process in the United States, the overall justice system, and so much more.  Neda is incredibly brilliant and we are so grateful to her cousin Leila (check out Leila Khoury’s episode, which is episode 57!) got us in touch with Neda.  We learned a lot from talking with her and we hope everyone will support the ADC in any way they can.  Follow Neda on Instagram @neda_marie.

Episode 41 in English: We are Ethnically Ambiguous!

We had an incredible conversation with Anna Hossnieh and Shereen Lani Younes!  They’re the cohosts of the podcast Ethnically Ambiguous; Anna is Iranian-American and Shereen is Syrian-American.  This podcast played a big part in our decision to start a podcast of our own – it was inspiring to hear people podcasting who are so relatable to us.  During this episode, we talked about podcasting, how important it is for queer folks of our demographic to connect with and support each other, and more.  In addition to hearing Shereen and Anna on this episode, check out their podcast on your favorite podcast app or their website, https://www.ethnicallyambiguouspod.com!  You can also find them on Facebook, and on Twitter @ethnicallyamb & Instagram @ethnicallyambig.
