Episode 41 in English: We are Ethnically Ambiguous!

We had an incredible conversation with Anna Hossnieh and Shereen Lani Younes!  They’re the cohosts of the podcast Ethnically Ambiguous; Anna is Iranian-American and Shereen is Syrian-American.  This podcast played a big part in our decision to start a podcast of our own – it was inspiring to hear people podcasting who are so relatable to us.  During this episode, we talked about podcasting, how important it is for queer folks of our demographic to connect with and support each other, and more.  In addition to hearing Shereen and Anna on this episode, check out their podcast on your favorite podcast app or their website, https://www.ethnicallyambiguouspod.com!  You can also find them on Facebook, and on Twitter @ethnicallyamb & Instagram @ethnicallyambig.

Episode 34 in English: Punk Poet-Performer Cyborg Andrea!

We are so excited for this episode!  We guarantee you’ll love getting to know Andrea through this.  We’ll give you all a heads up when their book is available (set to come out Jan. 2019)!

Andrea Abi-Karam is an arab-american genderqueer punk poet-performer cyborg,
writing on the art of killing bros, the intricacies of cyborg bodies, trauma & delayed
healing. Their chapbook, THE AFTERMATH (Commune Editions, 2016), attempts to
queer Fanon’s vision of how poetry fails to inspire revolution. Simone White selected
Andrea’s second assemblage Villainy for forthcoming publication with Les Figues. They
toured with Sister Spit March 2018 & are hype to live in New York.
EXTRATRANSMISSION (Kelsey Street Press, Jan. 2019) is their first book.
